Festival organiser Jesse Higgs said Friday night was always one to look forward to.
"We like to kick things off with a bang at Party in the Paddock," he said.
"Everyone is always excited for Friday night, obviously with The Dune Rats coming back.
"The Dunies are old mates, their first appearance was in 2015 where they were having such a good time that they forgot the lyrics to some of their three word songs."
Mr Higgs said they're fun to watch and had a great live show.
"I think Dunies have kind of grown up like we have and put on a killer show," he said.
"After those guys we had Cosmos Midnight, which is a really fun dancy disco kind-of vibe."
Mr Higgs said a highlight was In The Flowers.
"On my travels to Byron I met this young DJ group, they're a couple - kind of like Khruangbin meets Flight Facilities," he said.
"They're very trendy and they had some special guests jumping up with them including Kinder and Tommy Franklin, who's doing a rendition of his Shooting Star dance off that he did for Australia's Got Talent.
"So that's a little easter egg there."
"Other than that, on Friday we had Lime Cordiale - obviously they did super well in the Hottest 100, so much hype around those guys. Also around Mallrat as well, coming in at number three. I expected three tier on shoulder girls singing at the top of their lungs kind of stuff."
On Saturday punters will enjoy the likes of Confidence Man, Sneaky Sound System, Matt Corby, and Hermitude.
