Children can write a letter to Santa before December 20 about what they want for Christmas or some stories they want to share with him before they get a response from the man in red.
Seven-year-old Olivia Simmons and her brother, six-year-old Thomas Simmons, got ready to post their letters to Santa.
Olivia said she would like a Kelpie from Santa this festive season.
"I love would like a dog," she said.
"I would send it out for walks and play with it...I would call it Sniffles."
In other news:
Thomas other the other hand said he wanted some bathers to go swimming in at the pool and the beach.
"I would like some Mario pajamas," he said.
Post your letters addressed to Santa to PO Box 99 Launceston, Tasmania 7250, and some letters will make it into The Examiner.
Make sure to include an extra envelope inside the letter, noting a return address, to make sure it makes it back to you.
