Frank Micheletti will be working with migrants and young people, before a public performance at Inveresk on November 23.

"I work a lot with non-professional dancers, because I think it's really important to see how much art and dance can be involved inside a society," he said.

"[Dance] can play a big role in energising the body, reshaping the body.

"We have one body, and mostly we are just consumers of our bodies. But there is potential for different bodily imaginations, and sometimes we don't use them - because we are scared of how we look to others.

"And it's a pity, because using your body in that way can make you aware of other perceptions, other senses, and we need that."

The French Embassy's cultural attache and artistic director, Phillippe Platel, said the Embassy was very proud to be hosting Frank, who is an "utterly curious and adventurous artist".
