Once again, the Central Highlands has followed up bushfire with snow, a weird reality pointed out by Tasmania Police with a popular Facebook post.
Meanwhile, throughout Northern Tasmania winds are averaging 50-60 km/h, with peak gusts of 80-90 km/h, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Up to 5 mm of rain is expected, with 15-25 mm expected in the west and far south.
The snow line is at 700 metres, expected to drop to 500 metres on Friday.
It will treat to 1000 metres by Saturday, BOM predicts, but frosty mornings will stick around.
