The pair, from Melbourne, were two of more than 500 dancers that flocked to Launceston this Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the DanceSport Championships at the Silverdome.
They said it was one of their favourite places to dance.
"It's just the atmosphere: the locals come, everybody supports it," Ms Devine said.
"And its [organiser] Andrew Palmer - he makes it personal," Mr Anderson said.
The dancers were there to show off their cha-cha-chas and their sambas; their waltzes and their foxtrots; and to compete for the $30,000 purse - the largest in Australia.
Each dance style is its own challenge, according to Ms Devine and Mr Anderson.
"Ballroom is more technical, but Latin is more fun," Mr Anderson said.
Dancers travelled from as far afield as Iceland and China to try their luck - and skill - at the Tasmanian championships this year, with competitors aged from four to 84.
