A trainer at George Town for 20 years and 15 for Bridgenorth, the shield has been in the Parrots' grasp for the past two seasons and coach Allan O'Sign is looking to return strong off the bye in order to take home home the prize
"We have to go back to basics and believe we can compete with the top sides - which I feel we can," he said.
Bridgenorth's Brady Demeijer is looking for his side to focus on their ball movement again after a strong win over Scottsdale.
"We are looking at improving on creating space for each other and not getting stagnant," he said.

Calling the shield "extra motivation", the Parrots welcome back Gary Shipton as Jack McCulloch takes a week off.
With the Roberts rivalry cup on the line, BRACKNELL and Longford renew hostilities as the two put aside their contrasting seasons to produce a tight contest.
Coach Andrew Philpott said although Longford "taught his side a lesson" last time, he's expecting a battle.
"I've been on both sides of the fence for this rivalry and while there's no hatred - both sides just hate losing to the other," he said.
As Bracknell's young guns continue to step up to the plate and prove their worth at NTFA level, Philpott encourages the club's faithful to get behind the boys with bigger and better things to come next season.
Following their shock loss, Longford coach Beau Thorp believes his players got too far ahead of themselves and will be hungry to make amends.
"There's no love lost between us two. They've held the rivalry cup for about seven years so it will be a tough game at their home ground as we look to bounce back from our poor, poor performance," he said.
Coming off an upset win last week, SOUTH LAUNCESTON will be out to continue their form as they face Scottsdale.
Taking pressure off their finals aspirations with the victory over Longford, coach Aaron Viney credited the work of his young side.
"We come out of last week confident with our young guys: Brad Dodds, Jesse Rhodes and Jak Hadley, all stepping up," he said.
"Geoff Mohr kicked six last week and Daniel Viney five last time we played them so we will have eyes on them."
The Bulldogs regain Bowen Pearce as Luke Tepper misses with North Launceston premiership player Bryton Mullins and Viney set to rejoin the Scottsdale line-up.
Following a second-quarter slip up last week, coach Mohr is looking for a four-quarter effort.
"South's win last week was a bit of a surprise. They needed a win to put themselves in a top-five position and they went and did that. We need to play four genuine quarters in order to give ourselves a chance," Mohr said.
Looking to reverse the earlier season result between the two, ROCHERLEA host Deloraine as one of the most in-form teams in the competition.
Winning four out of their last five match-ups, Tigers coach Andrew Cox-Goodyer said his side just want to continue winning.
"We had a slip up earlier in the year out there as they won by 30 points but we feel as though we play better at home so hopefully the boys can put it all together," he said.
Potentially regaining "one or two" players from injury, the hosts sit in fifth - equal on points with both South Launceston (fourth) and George Town (sixth) so this shapes as a key game for Cox-Goodyer's men.
Deloraine showed there is still plenty of bounce within the Kangaroos two weeks ago with a 50-point upset victory over sixth-placed George Town.
Coming off the bye last week, the seventh-placed side loom as a season-destroying threat for potential suitors.
