The event has been running for three years and is aimed at gaining awareness around Fragile X syndrome: a genetic condition that results in intellectual ill health.
Organiser Shane Lyons' nephew has Fragile X, this led him to taking up the cause and to start the annual high tea event.
"The community and everyone has been fantastic and we have over 150 people so this has been our biggest one yet," Mr Lyons said.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It's getting better and better every year, and this [Cataract on Paterson] has been the best venue so far out of every one."
Mr Lyons added while raising funds to support those experience Fragile X was important, the other aim of the day was building understand in the community about the condition.
"If you raise the awareness you've got more people going to the doctor to have tests done to see if they've got Fragile X," he said.
The community is raising funds for four local charities as part of The Examiner's Winter Relief Appeal. Can you help?
