Queensland fruit fly was detected in the state in January 2018.
The biosecurity response to the incident was the biggest in Tasmania's history, and as of March 30, 2019, the state was declared fruit fly free.
The independent review is being conducted by Mike Black, former Tasmanian Auditor-General.
Lessons learnt from the incursion, industry and community engagement and communication, improvements to the biosecurity emergency response system, and other related matters will be considered as part of the review.
