Playing the first of two away games this weekend, Anthony Stewart's side burst from the blocks with a 29-20 first term led by Jalen Billups and captain Craig Moller.
Having fallen away in their third quarter against Manawatu, the Huskies then issued a statement with a 28-8 run to take a 24-point lead into the final change.
A free-flowing last term saw the Huskies roll into Sunday's match against Supercity with a comfortable win.
Billups (28 points, six rebounds) finished with 11-11 from two-point land to lead the scorers, while Marcel Jones amassed 25 points and 15 rebounds in a dominant big man display.
Tre Nichols (21 points, eight assists, five steals) and Lochlan Cummings (17 points including 3-5 from the perimeter) also impressed for the Huskies, while Mountaineers captain Alonzo Burton led the way for his side with 27 points.
The victory kept the Huskies in touch with the top four.
