The Devils will enter their week off after three successive NAB League nailbiters which delivered just the one win, the latest being Saturday's four-point defeat at the hands of Dandenong.
"There was a lot of good things, and we won all areas, but not on the scoreboard,'' Fletcher reflected on Tuesday.
"We took it up to them in contested footy that we hadn't won in a while and won the uncontested ball on the outside, so we did a lot right, but we've just got to take our marks inside 50.
"What we have done is that we wanted to have a game style that allowed our players to show their wares and we wanted to make sure they played with intensity and we wanted to make sure it is a learning environment."
Fletcher said the week off provided the perfect opportunity to "rejuvenate" his players after seven matches.
