A 28-year-old man remains in a critical condition after becoming trapped under a tree earlier this evening.
The incident occurred on Neils Road, Nunamara.
Tasmania Police, Fire and Ambulance attended to the incident at about 4pm.
According to police the man was tree felling when the incident occurred.
He sustained serious spine and lung injuries as a result of the incident.
Tasmania Fire Service crews used specialised equipment to free the man before he was provided on-scene medical treatment.
The man was airlifted by a Westpac Rescue Helicopter and taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
The helicopter arrived in Hobart at about 8.30pm, the man remains in a critical condition.
