The three 18-year-old male drivers were travelling at 190km/hour within close proximity of each other south towards Kingston at 4am on Wednesday.
All three drivers were holders of a provisional one license.
P1 drivers are restricted to a 90km/hour speed limit when travelling on this stretch of road meaning the drivers were travelling at 100km/hour over the maximum speed limit.
Tasmania Police Acting Sergeant Alex Spehr said the driving behaviour exhibited by the young men was extremely disappointing.
"The danger they presented not only to themselves, but also to the members of the public is unacceptable," Acting Sergeant Spehr said.
All three drivers have been interviewed by police, and as a result of further investigations, will be proceeded against by way of summons.
Their vehicles have been clamped for a period of 28 days.
"Our message is simple: drive safely on our roads or risk the consequences," Acting Sergeant Spehr said.
"This means slow down, put your mobile phone away, wear your seatbelt, and don't drive while tired or after drinking or taking drugs.
"Speeding is a significant contributing factor to serious and fatal motor vehicle crashes on Tasmanian roads.
"It only takes a split second for tragedy to unfold on our roads, so please drive responsibly for everyone's safety."
If you witness dangerous driving behaviour, please call police on 131 444 or triple zero in an emergency.
