When you get lemons, you make lemonade. That's why when Lego donated green, white, and blue bricks to the Tasmanian Brick Enthusiasts they decided to make a giant map of Tasmania, said president and coordinator Ken Draeger.

He said about 15,000 bricks and 100 boards would be used to create the massive map, which which will be built over two weekends by eight brick enthusiasts.
The end product will be a highlight of the Launceston Brixhibition in April.

Mr Draeger said Lego donated bricks to the club so that they could create pieces such as this one to put on a great show at the state's three exhibitions.
Also on display at Brixhibition will be Lego trains, custom built Lego, Kinetics sculptures, a huge Battlestar Galactica ship, and Star Wars inspired works.
Exhibitions will also take place at Ulverstone in July and in Hobart in October.
