The Invermay Traffic Master Plan is set to go back to the council table next month.
City of Launceston council general manager Michael Stretton said work had been proceeding on the master plan.
Two council meetings will be held in April. However, the council did not say which meeting the item will be discussed.
Councillors at the time agreed it was unfair to make a decision which the new council would then have to deal with.
A new link road between Lindsay and Gleadow streets was proposed in the plan. Traffic lights would be installed at the intersection of Goderich and Gleadow streets, and Invermay Road and Lindsay Street.
The master plan was opened for community comment in April. When the draft plan was released, the council said it was a top priority.
