By Thursday she wasn’t sure if the black sequined jacket with padded shoulders worthy of a 1980s soap star was the perfect outfit, but reserved the right to change her mind (and what she wears).
“I may, or may not, have my outfit planned,” Ceberano said.
Outfits aside, Ceberano said she was thrilled to be coming back to perform at Festivale in 2019 after having fun here last year.
“I had a great time when I was here last time. I always feel like I’m free to try new things,” she said.
The Ceberano siblings will grace the Festivale stage twice – on Saturday night and then again on Sunday afternoon.
While the two shows are bound to be different – with Sunday’s session billed as “more acoustic” – Ceberano promises she will be “putting up lots of original work and hits”.
My conversation with audiences in Tasmania is never finished.

“There will be a great collection of familiar songs with originals peppered amongst them.”
The familiar songs include those from Ceberano’s work with Models and Divinyls.
Although she has an idea of what she would like to perform at Festivale, Ceberano said she always feeds off the audience.
“I see what the crowd wants. After 30 years we can play anything,” she said.
Returning next month for Spiegeltent in Hobart, Ceberano intends to continue her love affair with the island state.
“I don’t get down here often enough, but I have such a story to tell. My conversation with audiences in Tasmania is never finished,” she said.
“After 30 years in the business a lot has happened to me as a musician and an artist so I feel like I’m meeting people for the first time.”
Although she admits her Festivale and Speigeltent shows will be different.
“At Festivale people want to try lovely food, wines and let loose. It’s like the difference between parfum and eau de toilette, in that eau de toilette is easy and for a wider audience,” she said.
