George Town’s annual Timberlink Christmas Parade will be bringing festive cheer down Macquarie Street on December 15.

The parade will begin at 6pm and will feature dancing groups and floats including the Lions Club truck decorated in the style of The Lion King.
Santa will also be around Regent Square for a photos with kids. Following the parade at 7pm, the classic George Town Carols by Candlelight will commence at the square.
Residents are encouraged to bring their rugs and chairs, sit back and relax to some amazing local voices.
Performances by Peter Parkes, Stephanie McKean, Heidi Hodges, as well as the Star of Sea Choir are some of the sensational acts at the event.
Dan and Marie from ChilliFM will host the evening, radio hosts Matthew Garwood and Dan Taylor will also be lending their voices to the carols.
Santa be on stage with his band of Merry Penguins, as well as Bee Bop Dance students.
Carols at Low Head Church will be held at 2.30pm on December 16 at St Paul’s by the Sea Church.
Attendees are invited to enjoy traditional carols featuring a pipe organ accompanying some caroling classics.
Both the parade and carol events are free to attend.
West Tamar residents are encouraged to come along to the newly renovated Exeter Community Hub for the annual Christmas with Friends dinner.
The feast will be held December 25 from midday.
Guests are invited to partake in a traditional Christmas dinner and to share the seasonal cheer with one another.
