The event is a Launceston staple for all ages, starting at the corner of The Esplanade and St John Street at 11am.
Costumes and floats of all shapes and sizes from community groups, charities and schools will be on display.
The parade found itself on the brink of cancellation earlier this year, with lack of funding nearly ending the event.

Fortunately, the communities’ hearts grew three sizes that day, and support came from all around to keep the parade afloat.
Apex has been running the classic parade for 30 years.
Apex organiser for the parade Cheryl Gabites said “that was really amazing” to have the likes of Buckby Motors and Woolworths pitch in to save the beloved parade.
Money raised by float entry fees will go towards this years charity Launceston Feeding the Homeless.
Attendees are also told to keep an eye out for Santa Claus, who is rumoured to make an appearance.
