Candidates were required to declare donations above $50 after the regulations were changed in August this year.
City of Launceston council said it had not endorsed the public release of the register yet.
“The decision to make this information publicly accessible is something the new council will give consideration to early in its term,” general manager Michael Stretton said.
“In the meantime, individual aldermen may make the decision to publicly disclose any declaration.”
Advertising spending must be disclosed to the Tasmanian Electoral commission about 45 days after an election.
Dorset Council said donations were not an issue for them.
Flinders Island Council was contacted for comment.
