The mercury will slide its way down again for Wednesday, with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a high of 24 with a medium chance of showers, most likely in the early morning.
Both Thursday and Friday have a high chance of showers, with temperatures expected to be 21 and 18, respectively.
The bureau is predicting a mild and mostly sunny weekend, with 21 degrees expected for Saturday and 22 for Sunday.
For the state generally, the bureau predicts the trough that in lingering over Tasmania will stay in the North- East throughout Wednesday, with a weakening cold front to cross the state later in the day.
“A southerly flow will develop on Thursday, as a high over the Bight extends a ridge to the south of Tasmania,” the bureau’s forecast said.
“A trough will lie over Tasmania during Friday morning, with a front to brush the South and run up the East Coast in the evening.”
