Two people, a man and a woman, have been charged with aggravated burglary and aggravated armed robbery after a home invasion at Deloraine.

Emergency services were called to a residence on Parsonage Street, about 7am on Friday morning, where the 56-year-old male resident had been injured hours earlier.
He was transferred by ambulance to the Launceston General Hospital in a stable condition, with significant non-life threatening injuries to his body and face.
Tasmania Police acting detective inspector John Parker said police will allege one woman and two men forcefully entered the Deloraine residence about 4am.
“As the resident confronted the intruders he was struck with a baseball bat several times,” he said.

“The house was ransacked and property stolen including antiques, power tools, televisions and other household items. “
Tasmania Police allege the trio then left the scene in the victim’s 2007 Subaru Outback. Acting detective inspector Parker said the investigation led detectives to an address at Phillips Street at Perth. The 36-year-old man and 45-year-old woman were taken into custody and assisted police with their inquiries.
They were later formally charged and have been remanded in custody to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at 10am on November 3.
Launceston detectives are continuing their investigations concerning the third person believed to have been involved in the incident.
The 56 year old male victim has been discharged from hospital with staples and stitches in his head, along with abrasions and bruising.
Anyone that observed suspicious activity in the area of Parsonage Street at Deloraine or Phillips Street at Perth between midnight and 7am was urged to come forward with information.
