RYDA is a program aimed at educating students in year 10 about safe driving as they begin to learn how to drive.
The program is in its 13th year, with students from across the state participating in the program.
RYDA chairwoman Marion Cooper said she hoped students attending the event understood the importance of being aware – both as a driver and passenger.
RYDA will run at Symmons Plains until November 1, with 15 schools attending.
