The current round of Community Assistance Grants closes on Friday, September 21.
Significant events eligible for the grants are those that would be seen as the only one of their kind in the Northern Midlands, attracting significant numbers of people – generally over 2000 – and media coverage for the region.
Assistance can take the form of in kind help, a grant, or a combination of the two.
The maximum allocation to an event is $1650, except in the case of a major new event which can be eligible for a one-off seeding grant of up to $3300.
Interested applicants can find the application form on the Northern Midlands Council website or contact council’s customer services for more information.
The Examiner will introduce a local news subscription package for online readers from September 18. Find out more here.
