A final 6-3 victory over Kingborough Lions ensured Ulverstone bettered Hobart Zebras’ 61-point season of just last year by two points.
The Reds put that record beyond doubt on Saturday with the opening four goals of the away clash.
Doubles were recorded for Ulverstone pair Melanie Smith and Jazmin Gorrie, who fell just one goal shy of Zebras star Lucy Johnson’s scoring record of 38 goals.
Ulverstone conceded two late goals, but celebrated not conceding a point all year.
That came close to ending only last week. Only an injury-time winner against Launceston City broke the 3-3 deadlock and delivered a 20th straight win.
But City this week handed over second spot to Taroona in the WSL final round.
A 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hobart Zebras while a 3-1 win for Taroona against Clarence United had the rivals swap final positions.
