Northern Hawks have finally broke their drought after 23 years.
In a blockbusting last quarter, Hawks came from five goals down at three-quarter time to win the State League grand final 66-57.
The minor premier outscored AYC-Friends Arrows 21-10 to run over the top of the defending champions.
Hawks goal shooter Ashlea Mawer led the way in front of goals with 60 goals at 88 per cent.
The nine-goal victory in Hobart is the club’s first in its last three attempts against AYC-Friends Arrows.
