On Tuesday the nine-year-old hopes to sell 600 homemade treats, as part of the animal welfare organisation’s annual Cupcake Day fundraiser.
It will be the eighth consecutive Cupcake Day event held at Trevallyn Primary School, organised by a member of the Sutherland family.
Principal Annette Hollingsworth said Pheobe was continuing the work of older sister Hannah, who had moved onto high school.
Pheobe said she was hoping to raise about $1000 at this year’s event and will even have gluten free options available.
“I just love animals, so I really just want to help them as much as I can,” she said.
RSPCA Tasmania chief executive Andrew Byrne said it was magnificent to see the younger generation excited about helping animals.
“What Pheobe and her friends are doing here is absolutely wonderful,” he said.
“She is clearly an animal lover, which is what we like to see.”
