Regular season points will be secondary to the annual Butzin-Jordan Memorial Cup.
Now in its 12th year, the match honours the contributions of former Old Scotch captain Lucas Butzin, and Uni Mowbray’s Jeff Jordan.
Butzin was 23 when he was killed in a car crash in 2006, while Jordan died of an illness in 2010, aged 61.
Uni-Mowbray president Wayne Thompson knew both men, having worked alongside Jordan and prepared his team to face Butzin.
He said the cup was as much about remembering the pair as it was about ensuring the next generation were aware of their achievements.
“When I talk to the guys at different times, they always ask about the framed guernsey in our club rooms,” he said.
“I’m always happy to fill them in.”
The Butzin Jordan Memorial Cup will be held from 2pm at the NTCA ground on Saturday, May 12.
