About $2.3 million of that, is new money.
At Tuesday’s meeting, it is recommended that the council approve the program. More than $5 million would be spent on roads, streets and bridges.
Railton and Glenore roads have been identified as areas that need rehabilitation.
The two projects combined are expected to cost about $700,000 in total, with a new allocation of $100,000 for the projects in the upcoming program.
More than $2 million is expected to be spent on bridge reconstructions, but all bridge funds would be carried over from previous years’ programs.
Nearly $2 million would be spent on recreation and culture.
Bracknell Hall has been allocated an extra $80,000 as part of its $430,000 refurbishment.
New netball courts would be built at Deloraine Community Complex, if a $510,000 grant is approved. Lighting around Prospect Vale Park would also be upgraded, with $390,000 budgeted for that project.
Just $580,000 would be spent on health community and welfare.
Cluan waste disposal centre would receive a $50,000 expansion under the program.
General administration would account for about $300,000, and $379,000 has been estimated for “unallocated and unclassified” expenditures.
The council’s agenda said the projects were identified through requests, comments, complaints and queries from members of the community, infrastructure services manager Dino De Paoli said in the agenda.
“The capital works program is developed on an annual basis and allows council to deliver asset renewals and new projects for the benefit of our community,” he said.
“Council discussed the draft CWP at the April workshop and bus tour. Councillors were also provided with a copy of the 2018-2019 CWP project information document containing a summary of background details on each project,” Mr de Paoli said.
The meeting will be held on Tuesday at 1.30pm.
