The open day is a way to help celebrate the organisation’s 90th anniversary.
From 10am the Evandale hangar will be open to the public.
Tours will highlight the organisation’s services throughout the day, including the organisation’s flight simulator.
Children will be able to experience a “real rescue” by wearing virtual reality headsets, experiencing the flight radar and simulator.
It will also be the first time the service’s new hangar will be open to the public, after opening in June last year.
The event is free and is open until 3pm.
