Four Jetstar flights travelling to Launceston have been delayed, causing the subsequent flights departing the airport to also be delayed.
One Qantas flight was delayed by two-and-a-half hours and another was cancelled.
A Virgin Australia flight was delayed by nearly four hours.
A Jetstar spokesman said the delays were due to fog in Melbourne and Launceston.
No further delays were expected, the spokesman said.

A Virgin Australia spokeswoman confirmed the 6.20am flight was delayed due to fog.
The Bureau of Meteorology said the state is being sandwiched between high pressure systems to the east and west.
The high to the west is expected to cross Tasmania throughout Monday morning and move into the Tasman Sea, turning the flow north.
Fog around Launceston caused reduced visibility on Monday, with motorists being reminded to turn on their headlights and drive to conditions.
