Nominations for the The Examiner-IGA Tasmania Junior Sports Awards are now open.
These awards are open to all participants of junior sport aged under 18.
Many of our local young people train for hours each week, striving to improve in their chosen field. They are committed, strong performers who play fairly in the spirit of the game and give back to their sport.
All nominations go into the judging to award our junior sportspersons of the year, winners will be recognised at a Gala Awards Celebration.
Don’t forget the coach! The service to sport award is open to coaches, volunteers, officials, umpires and dedicated parents involved in junior sport. Nominate that person who gives time and knowledge to assist young sportspersons.

- Female Junior Sportsperson of the Year
- Male Junior Sportsperson of the Year
- Rising Junior Star of the Year - Female
- Rising Junior Star of the Year - Male
- Ricky Ponting Service to Sport Shield
- Team of the Year

When completing the form, please ensure you provide as much detail as possible to assist our judges and include the nominees name and contact number in the ‘Story’ section. Nominations without this information won’t be considered.
