Four University of Tasmania students were awarded Jim Bacon Foundation Scholarships yesterday. Dominique Higgins was recognised for her work in cancer care and treatment, Chavelli Sulikowski and Emma Tidey in the field of political science and Scott Cotterel for his work in visual arts. The Jim Bacon Foundation provides support and financial assistance to cancer patients and their families by making funds available to organisations that offer cancer treatment and palliative care services.
