On Tuesday, the Launceston Scale Model Club presented the appeal with a cheque for $1000.
The money was raised at the club’s annual expo, which attracted scale model enthusiasts from across the state.
Club secretary Janice Collins said the appeal was something they were proud to support.
“We are only a small club but we try to give back when we can,” she said.
“Every little bit helps and the Empty Stocking Appeal has a wonderful community focus.”
On Monday a donation of $8000 was also received by the Robert Fergusson Family Foundation.
Fergusson’s plumbing and electrical business was established in Launceston in 1937 and the foundation now supports a number of local charities.
Robert Fergusson’s daughter Sue Holloway said it was a pleasure to give back to the community who supported her father’s business for more than 70 years.
