However, the wet weather didn’t stop people from coming in droves to the live outdoor music event on Saturday.
And by the afternoon, their decision paid off with blue sky, good music, wine and food.
“It’s heartening to have people support the event,” Ms Nieuwhof said.
“It’s a community event that everyone can come to,” she said,
Entering its 6th year, Ms Nieuwhof estimated more than 600 people spent the day at the vineyard, playing cricket, having a picnic and enjoying the day.
