Toni Moate, director of national collections and marine infrastructure at CSIRO, was named the Telstra Tasmanian Business Woman of the Year in the 23rd year of the awards’ running.
She was also the recipient of the Public Sector and Academia award.
Alison Flakemore, director of Alison’s Garden and Landscape, received the Entrepreneur Award.
Carers Tasmania chief executive Janine Arnold received the Purpose and Social Enterprise Award, while Stornoway general manager of business services Camille O’Meara received the Corporate and Private Award.
And Dr Jessica Manuela from Dental South received the Young Business Women’s Award.
Women’s Minister Jacquie Petrusma said winners and finalists should be “be justly proud of their achievements” and of their positive example.
