Launceston man admits to possessing counterfeit cash

A Tasmanian man pleaded guilty to possessing counterfeit money in the Launceston Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Troy Anthony Porter was charged with one count of possessing and seven counts of uttering counterfeit money, as well as four counts of obtaining goods by false pretences. He also pleaded guilty to charges of stealing, breaching bail and failing to appear.

Magistrate Simon Brown adjourned the matters for facts and sentencing on July 19 at 2.15pm.
