But it is when your school is in Mowbray and you’re leaving from Deloraine.
A team of 64 Launceston Church Grammar School year 12 students will make the 80-kilometre journey on Wednesday in an effort to raise money for charity.
Participant Ben Barnett said 2017 marked the Grammar Walkathon’s 54th year.
“The walkathon originated from John F. Kennedy's challenge that any fit man should be able to walk 50 miles in 20 hours, and our school took on that challenge,” Ben said.
“We also choose a charity each year, usually a charity that is close to our hearts or meaningful to us.”
Last year, Grammar students raised $36,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
This year, students have chosen to raise funds for Epilepsy Tasmania, a cause suggested by Kate Howe.
“I put it forward because my sister has a really rare neurological condition which causes epileptic seizures and she's having surgery in May,” Kate said.
