A midday spell of rain looks likely to clear up just before the event kicks off on Friday afternoon, but event director James Harding says brewers will be on hand to ensure good drops continue to flow freely.
“It's looking like it's going to be our biggest Beerfest yet because ticket sales have doubled what they were last year at the same time,” Mr Harding said.
“We've got the biggest number of stalls this year, we've got 12 food stalls and 28 brewery and cideries and I think it's going to be a really good two days.”
Josh Pyke and Bob Evans will headline the live entertainment on Friday night, while the Potbelleez and Bombs Away will perform on Saturday.
“Since we booked them six months ago the public has responded really well and we just need to encourage people to purchase their tickets early so they're not going to be disappointed if the event sells out.”
Iron House beerologist Craig Spilsbury said he was expecting a busy two days behind the counter.
“I'm really excited about Friday and Saturday, apparently these new bands are going to bring a lot more people in,” Mr Spilsbury said.
“We're very excited because not only do we have the beer, but we're also doing wine and cocktails with our own spirits we make at the brewery and distillery down on the coast.”
Beerfest will run from 5pm to 11pm Friday and 2pm to 10pm Saturday.
