Walk A Mile In Their Shoes, an initiative of real estate business Harcourts, will be held on Friday.
Money raised will be donated to White Ribbon’s Break the Silence program.
Harcourts Tasmania chief executive Tony Morrison said up to 80 people were expected to participate in the walk.
“The idea is we’re wearing high heel shoes so it’s a bit of a connection of what women go through,” he said.
“The male sex is the stronger sex but they have to understand they can’t do certain things and have to be respectful of women.”
Walk A Mile In Their Shoes will start at 11.30am on the corner of York and George streets and will finish in the Brisbane Street mall.
Participation is $25 with all proceeds going to White Ribbon.
