“The Launceston community has a great history of supporting and engaging with local writers and avid readers,” he said.
“We were delighted when the opportunity arose to open a Collins Booksellers store on the site of the well-regarded Fullers Bookshop, and we look forward to sharing our passion for books with readers in Launceston.”
Mr Smith said Collins Booksellers is known for its quality catalogues and reading guides, as well as extensive ABC gift and entertainment products.
The new store will be the first Collins Booksellers in Tasmania, and is in-line with the company’s revised corporate strategy and five-year plan, said chairman Duncan Johnston.
“More importantly it also fits with the rejuvenated and increased demand that has occurred in our bricks and mortar stores over the last two years,” he said.
