Be good and check out BAD PONY this Saturday night at Launceston’s Club 54.
The five-piece pop indie band from New South Wales claim to draw inspiration from groups Two Door Cinema Club and Phoenix and will visit Tasmania on their lap of the country to promote new single Sideways.
It’ll cost you $10 at the door to see them and supports Saint Henry, The Sleepyheads and New Wave Saints.
Maybe you’d like to spend your night somewhere different. Feel like having your ears bleed?
US punks A WILHELM SCREAM grace Tasmania for the second time in as many years with a stop at the legendary Brisbane Hotel in Hobart this Saturday night.
The band has a masterful hold of speed and tech, and enjoy a dedicated following primarily through 2004 album Mute Print and its equally tasty 2005 album Ruiner.
A whole bunch of people are excited about this one. See what the fuss is about.
Tickets are available through Oztix for $37.75.
Hobart’s Knife Hands will join them on the bill.
Also performing in Hobart on Saturday night is URTHBOY, fresh off the release of his fifth album The Past Beats Inside Me Like a Second Heartbeat.
Catch him at The Republic Bar at 10pm. Tickets are $25 from Moshtix
How naive of you to think it was safe for you to venture out to see live music on a Wednesday night with no repercussions the next morning.
Launceston’s favourite adopted psychedelic ska punk band, THE BENNIES, will bring their crowd-pumping party anthems back to town just a few months just three months after they were last here.
They didn’t even give us enough time to recover.
To make matters worse, they’re bringing Melbourne hardcore punks CLOWNS along who will be warming up for a massive tour which will see them perform with the best in punk and hardcore at several European festivals.
Let’s give them the send-off they deserve.
The debauchery takes place on June 22 at Club 54 and tickets are available through Oztix for a bargain price of $28.60.
