The high-energy rock musical will be hosted by Launceston’s Grant Beaumont.
Audiences are taken on an adventure with protagonists Edwyna and Douggie as they find themselves shipwrecked on a mysterious South Sea island.
Producer and co-creator Chris Dockrill said the film is a hybrid of the live show which premiered in Sydney in November, 2014.
“The result is a film that intensifies the live-show experience with an intimacy of involvement for the viewer,” Mr Dockrill said.

Launceston’s Tim Victory is among the cast of 28 performers who were involved in the production.
Mr Dockrill said he was “pretty chuffed” A screening in Sydney sold out two weeks prior to the films launch.
