Higgins and the TSO will co-produce the performance and have already begun ‘‘working feverishly’’ for the March 19 show, which goes on sale today.
The views of the mountain were enough to convince mainland and international agents, many of whom are normally too nervous to take a punt on a Tassie show, Skyfields director Dave Sykes said.
‘‘Once we found this venue, the venue itself was what inspired us. When we came up here and saw that mountain and stood on this site, the idea of putting bands on this site was enough to inspire anybody.’’
