TWO of the TSL's undefeated teams go head-to-head at Lauderdale today in a battle of the Bombers.
North Launceston face a difficult road trip to play the Southern Bombers on their home ground, looking to extend its winning run to three matches and inflict Lauderdale's first defeat.
"We spoke about having 22 contributors and applying their effort to execute our game plan and if we can do that we will challenge in most games and be right in them when the time comes," coach Zane Littlejohn said.
"We just need to continue to focus on the effort to execute their roles."
Littlejohn said he thought Lauderdale might be more Ben Halton-focused this season rather than on Michael Cassidy as in the past.
"They have a really good even spread of focus up forward with those two and Wiggins so a dangerous forward mix and Halton has probably been the lucky one on the end of their forward thrusts the last few weeks with the goals," he said.
"They've got some really big sized men and their ground suits their style of play with some good pace in their back six so we will have to be focused on how we play our game and match them inside.
"They have some quality inside mids which is an area they have smashed us in previously so we have to be ready for that challenge and if they're supplying those forwards they will be very hard to stop."
Lauderdale coach Darren Winter said the match was shaping as a good contest and challenge for his side playing the reigning premiers.
"They look like they're up and about at the moment but we've had two tough games and have got over the line so that's been a very good start for us," he said.
"We knew we had a tough start to the season so to get two wins was a bit of a bonus for us."
Winter said they had a couple of different players at the club this season who had helped them make a good start and get their game plan up and running.
Bryce Walsh returns for his first game along with Alex Hill.
