The first area under the spotlight for Epicurean Adventure Tasmania will be the Tamar Valley.
Selected guests of the initiative will be taken through the region to meet with producers at locations ranging from scenic lookouts to beaches.
All produce championed at the event's location dinner that evening will have been plucked from a set radius from where each table is located.
The menu of the evening will be designed by Novaro's Restaurent chef Nicholas Hooper.
Organiser Cade Smith said details of the January 31 event were leaking on the Epicurean Adventure Tasmania Facebook page.
"Guests do know that dinner won't be held in the normal constraints of a restaurant environment and it will take them to a more abstract location," Mr Smith said.
Mr Smith said events later in the year would be set on the East Coast, West Coast and central Hobart.
