Mr Bicanic said that the total amount raised was yet to be finalised, but early indications were ``looking good''.
``We'd really like to thank all the people who donated stuff for the auction,'' he said.
``It was a really good day, considering it rained and the auction had to be held inside - there were a lot of people there, we were pumped.
``We had loads of gravel, treated pine timber, vegetables, fertiliser, cattle cartage, vouchers for trade work, electric fence units and heaps of firewood.
``I bought quite a bit of stuff myself.''
Mr Bicanic said that the auction started at 1pm with a barbecue and ran for about 90 minutes.
