Registrations for the group's 2014-15 season, to begin October 4, have opened.
Centre publicity officer Racheal Mitchelson said Little Athletics not only provided children with an opportunity to make friends, but gave them an edge in their active endeavours.
"We try and base it all around fun and fitness, and we try and emphasise that it's not all about winning," Mrs Mitchelson said.
"Of course some kids are quite competitive, but it's a really good social occasion, the parents enjoy it too."
Mrs Mitchelson said meets were held most Saturdays from 9am to 11am and were open to residents of Westbury, Hadspen, Carrick, Prospect, Longford, Cressy, Evandale, Perth, Campbell Town and Poatina.
"We just want to encourage as many people as possible in country towns and surroundings of Longford to come and give it a go, without having to register," Mrs Mitchelson said.
"You can compete three times before having to register, if people don't like it, there is no pressure to come back."
