Acclaimed British actor-director Lord Richard Attenborough has died at 90, according to his son.

The BBC News reported that he passed away around lunchtime yesterday.
Lord Attenborough suffered a stroke six years ago and has been confined to a wheelchair since.
He is the brother of illustrious wildlife documentary maker Sir David Attenborough and leaves behind his wife, fellow actress Sheila Sim.
Lord Attenborough received critical acclaim as the director of the hit motion picture Gandhi, which won two Oscars. He also appeared in films such as The Great Escape and later in the blockbuster Jurassic Park.
