Police say that the vandalism spree took place some time between Friday and Saturday nights and left 19 vehicles between Sandy Bay and Blackmans Bay damaged.
"The offenders used spray paint in green and fluorescent yellow to offensively decorate the vehicles and in most cases also kicked off side mirrors," Inspector Ian Lindsay of Kingston Police said.
"In two of the 19 cases the offenders have also poured a corrosive substance on to the vehicle requiring considerable paintwork to be replaced.
“Incidents of damage like these are examples of senseless, mindless vandalism which will not be condoned.
“The offenders have shown a complete lack of respect for people and property.”
