The Vision and Voice Photographic Exhibition that features pictures taken in the Launceston CBD, Cataract Gorge, Royal Park and City Park opened at Launceston General Hospital's art gallery The Artrium, and will run until Sunday.
"It is to celebrate young migrants in the community," National Joblink Youth Connections Program consultant Jayde Robinson said.
"All photographs are taken by young migrants at places that have meaning to them since coming to Australia.
"Due to the language barrier sometimes the migrants don't get to get their ideas and thoughts across, so we thought the medium of photography would be a good way for them to express themselves.
"Some of the people hadn't used a digital SLR before, so it is all about the learning process."
St Patrick's College student Dorothy Wani, 16, originally of Sudan, said it was a fantastic experience.
