Mr Booth said the funding, which the Greens are aiming to deliver over four years, would ensure the organisation's ongoing financial security.
"Landcare's work is vital to our community and they should not have to live a hand-to-mouth existence, and go out with a begging bowl for funding at every election," Mr Booth said.
"The Greens want to make sure Landcare has the long-term funding certainty they need to deliver long- term results."
Landcare supports more than 200 sustainable agriculture, farming, grazing and coast care groups across the state.
Mr Booth said Landcare's operations could be significantly improved with greater funding certainty and security.
Also included in yesterday's announcement was the proposed formation of a working group between the University of Tasmania and Landcare.Supported by the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment, the group would audit and evaluate Landcare projects that had been undertaken and inform future works.
